The ICT Expo.

On Thursday afternoon we visited the ICT Expo that was held in the Community Center. There was an impressive array of displays and it was full on and full of people. Credit to our ICT leaders Karen Duligall and Toni Te Whaiti who, with their classes had put many hours of work into the Havelock North Primary displays.

Miss Ennor

We are really lucky to have Miss Ennor helping us in our room. Miss Ennor is great at remembering to make sure the glue pots are filled and ready for each day.

iPads in classrooms.

Jason Wray came to visit our room and he was learning how to use our iPad. Amy and Charlotte were giving him lessons. Charlotte was able to teach her dad quite a few new things.

Sewing in K0

We have been learning how to thread a needle, tie a knot at the end of a piece of wool and do some simple sewing. We have used paper templates to get our skills ready before we start sewing on hessian.

Spring Flowers

On Friday morning Spring was in the air. We made daffodils to help us celebrate daffodil day. Our daffodils were as bright and colorful as we were, all dressed in our mufti.

Staff first aid course Friday 17 August

All staff attended a course on Friday in the school library.
The practical session was useful and proved that essential skills constantly need updating.
I spent some time refreshing my skills on resuscitation.
